The project presented an opportunity to design a new family home, complete with a dedicated work-from-home unit and a separate garage, set on a beautiful site with open views beyond the settlement boundary. Local stone forms the foundation of the design, expressed as an uncompromising monolithic form. This is juxtaposed with the crisp strength of standing-seam elements and softened by the introduction of green roofs, together creating a distinctive, balanced, and memorable architectural response.
